I'm - Determined

Franklin County Public School was one of the original sites chosen to implement the Self Determination Project for the state of Virginia. The project is based on research that has proven that students with good self determination skills successfully complete high school and go on to be successful in higher education or on the job.

Self-determination is about youth with disabilities taking control of their lives by:

*Knowing and believing in yourself

*Knowing what you want your future to be like and how to make plans to achieve this future.

*Knowing the supports that you need to take control of your life.
